ION LANDS
German studio best known for Cloudpunk, the acclaimed cyberpunk delivery adventure set in the city of Nivalis. Nivalis Nights returns to the same city with a life-sim twist. Announced in 2021/2022 as "Nivalis", the project went quiet for years and was renamed Nivalis Nights in June 2026 with its release date.
505 Games
Major indie publisher — the PC release of Death Stranding, Control, Terraria, Ghostrunner and more. 505's involvement signals a bigger production than Cloudpunk.
Why it matters
Cloudpunk was praised for its atmosphere and city design but criticized for thin gameplay. Nivalis Nights answers that criticism directly: same city, far deeper systems (business management, characters, romance). The sequel's scope is the studio's biggest leap yet.
